The person started his work on 6/3 and asked for his fee the same day ( $350.00), He was paid the same day. We are still waiting for the appraisal and it is 6/20/16. He doesn't return telephone calls. A buyer for the house walked away from the potential purchase. We will call the BBB or the police if we do not hear from by the end of the week. I am the husband of the woman who called him and suggested his name.
Response by Walnut Street Appraisals: The above review was not written by (Customer's name withheld per their request ), it was written by her husband. On the date of inspection (Customer's name withheld per their request ), was told that the report would take approximately two weeks to complete due to the incredible work load during the busiest season of the real estate sales cycle, spring and early summer. The appraiser always collects the fee when he /she does the inspection as the appraiser and the home owner do not meet again. We send the report via e-mail. I also returned all of (Customer's name withheld per their request ), and the report was e-mailed on Tuesday the 21st of June at 3:12 pm in the afternoon. The reason this gentleman is aggravated is the fact that he bought the unit in in December of 2005 for $348,000 and unfortunately they have never done anything to it and the value today is far below the value that they paid. Mr. (Customer's name withheld per their request ), is the one who hired me but had me coordinate the inspection with his wife. Anyone can see that the other reviewers feel I was professional and provided a valuable service to the them
