About This Gallery

The clients purchased a beautiful hutch (see Antiqued/Painted Kitchen photo), which was in a butler's pantry off the kitchen. They decided to match their existing kitchen cabinets to the molasses antiqued finish on the purchased piece. The dramatic result after having the cabinets glazed and the countertop and backsplash changed is spectacular!

I like the look of these cabinets. Can you tell me what the base color of the cabinets are and what tint of glazing was used? If you can include the process you used to achieve the look that would also be helpful. This is exactly what I plan to do with my cabinets but haven't chosen the colors yet. Currently my cabinets are high gloss bright white.

I really liked the look of the painted cabinets. I'm sure you changed the hardware, too, which is a plus. I do think you should have changed the appliances to stainless steel or at least closer in color to the cabinets. Just a suggestion!

Nice...except black appliances would really have set it off.

glazing is inconsistent, not uniform on doors. Have a professional complete this to actually add value to your home.

My cabinets look exactly like the original ones here, and I am going to do something similar with mine - 2 coats of off-white paint, with a glaze of warm, chocolate brown and a dark French blue (colors are lightened significantly in the glaze) and I hope it comes out something like this! I agree with the other posters that the appliances do detract from the rest of the beautiful job on the kitchen remodel, although I would not choose black, but a bisque for the appliances. Terre T: you can use a golden color (yellow) and warm brown (even with some burgundy, depending on the other decor of your kitchen) in the glaze. It will look GREAT!

Annette H from Houston, TX <br />Love t he look of the cabinets. Mine are currently a cream color and want to antique them a bit as well as update the flooring and walls. Will take into consideration the appliance color when I re-do mine.

I'm with Terre T..... I would love to know the process that was used to update these cabinets, including the base colors and glazes used.

Cabinets looked nice, however, I would have updated appliances to stainless steel, added a refrigerator enclosure cabinet and a small island for a true makeover

Cabinets look great but the white appliances do not. Almond appliances would look much nicer. Vicki
