Too dark, too cramped and too 'blah'. The arches on the upper doors are dated (as in 1970's).

Nice! I like the combination of the rich (maple?) cabinets and black counters and backsplash. I would just get rid of the little spice rack, which looks more like it came from Grandma's kitchen, than a sleek place like this! Oh, yeah, and the suspended ceiling has GOT to go! Do it up right!
