This is a 120 year old home. It had four rotten lally collumns, but the framing was o.k., so in order to save the customer money,
we cut out the lallies and propped up the deck on temporary supports. Then, we installed four 8x8 pressure treated posts and refastened the framing. We put on new Trex decking and hand rails. The customer was very happy. This job only took four days, even with the tricky part of having to temporarily prop the roof up. It was a very heavy, massive A-frame.
