"I worked with a company in Florida doing heating, ventilating, and air conditioning work. The company had been a ServiceMagic member for 6 months and had 287 ratings. I asked the owner how she had accumulated so many ratings and she said she "bribes" her workers. If the homeowners they serviced did not complete a rating and review after the job was done, her employees didn't get their bonus at the end of the week. That bonus was a simple $10 gift card to Starbuck's or MacDonald's. She had a 90% close rate."
