Comment: Just purchased a property that came with a duplex in addition to the main house. The duplex building was the original farm house and was moved in the early 1930s to its present site. There are signs of foundation failure and significant movement. It appears to be a poured foundation. There are large cracks in the cement sidewalks and foundation on one side of the house. 1st level floors are very uneven & sloped away from the foundation cracks. There is what appears to be inward bowing of one stud in an exterior wall (finished so I can't see the extent of damage there or verify that it is in fact a stud). This is an end-wall at 90 degrees from the wall where the foundation shows cracks. I would like to understand the extent of the damage, its cause, and repair/restoration options.
