    Comment: To St. Louis Stair and Woodworks, We are looking replace the current closed stairway with an open wood banister with rod iron spindles. I have included three pictures, two showing the current configuration and one showing the type of banister we would like to move to. I know this is a somewhat strange request, but can you provide a “rough” estimate for what it would cost to perform this work? We would like to have a hand rail installed going down the steps to match the banister as well as a header board on the left side of the stair wall to match the banister as well. There are thirteen steps leading down to the basement if that factors into the estimate. We are planning on replacing the current flooring with hardwood flooring but think we should get the banister work done first.
