  Comment: I live in a 1940's duplex. The shared wall is only cinder block coated with a thin layer of plaster and paint. It transmits a lot of sound--I can hear moderate level talking, kids talking and jumping and thumping on the stairs, TV and radio bass, all from next door. There's probably not much room on the walls to leave empty space between the cinder block and a new layer of drywall. I wonder if sandwixxxng some Green Glue in between the cinder block and a thin Quietrock drywall might help?
