  Comment: Basement has flooded 3-4 times already due to excessive rain/storms. I do have a sump pump but it failed today causing flooding. I need a system more reliable with backup! I also have a basement porch drain in the back of the house that keeps getting clogged with leaves and dirt. This porch drain connects to the sump pump and the water is pushed out to the yard. This porch drain and sump pump system is unreliable. I need a permanent fix, I'm thinking connecting back porch drain to the home drainage and sewer system., and install a reliable sump system as backup.
