Comment: the house was built in 1984 in So. East Aurora, the slide on both sides are fine, the problem is the plastic guides and end caps for holding the spring loaded channel to hold the window up and guide it as it comes down are weather beaten by the sun and have broken so the window basically floats from side to side in the frame. i cannot afford to replace them right now but I would like for them to be functional. (there are other parts that are needed also but this is the biggest problem right now)

When trying to open the window, the vinyl tries to separate from the window itself. 2. Caulk all windows throughout the house. There are approximately 20 interior frames to be caulked. 3.
