Comment: LADIES AND GENTLEMEN: <br /> <br />We have four tree-mounted (approx 30-40 feet above grade), bullet fixture, mercury vapor driveway lights, with one 100 watt (closest to the house and three 175 watt bulbs with standard base. Two 175-watt bulbs are out. We need to have the four bulbs changed to the same wattage with 24000 hour life bulbs. If medium base bulbs of the needed wattage are no longer available can a socket adapter be used to allow insertion of a bulb of the needed wattage with a different base? Although I doubt it, we may need to replace a ballast, which is external to the fixtures and mounted below them. I will buy two from a local supplier unless you can provide these at a reasonable price. It pays for me to buy one or two and keep them than to have a bucket truck be brought out here two times <br /> <br />These fixtures were installed years ago by Vernon Daniel and the bulbs replaced since then.
