"Mr Alawar was very good to work with. He kept me in loop as to when he would start the work. Showed up when he said and his price was good also. He did so good I have hired him for other work at my house."

Remodel
"They replaced all of our supply-line plumbing, Then renovated the kitchen, then renovated the master bath. There were several minor miscommunications, a few were their fault and at least a couple were absolutely our fault, but we feel that is to be expected for a project of this magnitude. We worked through them. There were also a few discrepancies, things that were inadvertently left undone or done a little too roughly, but when we brought these to the attention of the designer or the project manager, they were resolved completely and very quickly. On a couple of occasions, the work was interrupted because fixtures or supplies we had requested did not arrive on time, or did arrive damaged. While this was very frustrating, we feel that NV Kitchen and Bath did their best to expedite delivery and to keep us in the loop regarding timing ... and they rearranged their schedule to ensure that our kitchen would be ready for us to entertain holiday guests. Overall, great work!"

"Footprints Floors did an excellent job on my flooring project. Footprints installed engineered hardwood flooring for me. Before doing so, Footprints had to remove some old carpet, vinyl, and wood flooring. Footprints did an amazing job removing the old flooring and preparing the subfloor for the new wood. This was a critical step because a flawed subfloor can wreck a flooring installation. I was impressed by the speed and attention to detail the installers showed. Scott told me my flooring replacement project would take a day and the installers delivered. Speaking of Scott, I have rarely worked with a company owner who is more responsive. When Scott looked at my job, he gave me some excellent advice on product selection. Overall, this flooring project was a great experience."

Depending on the type of project, you may find subtle differences in the hiring process. Here’s a look at task-specific advice.
You can use HomeAdvisor to help evaluate a contractor’s qualifications. We put pros through a screening process, and award badges to high-performing contractors. You can find these badges on a pro’s HomeAdvisor profile, and sometimes, his or her website.
Your research doesn’t stop here. Once you’ve found a few prospective companies, make an call to ask a few questions about work history, licensure and more:
In most cases, the responses you get to these three questions will give you a very good idea of the right pro for your project. If you have more than one front-runner, these additional questions can help you narrow it down.
Any good contractor will answer these questions, and most will appreciate dealing with a client that takes such an active interest in finding good service. On the other hand, if a contractor gives you a hard time with these questions, you probably want to find someone else.
