Comment: I have an executed contract on a house that I'm buying. The closing is to take place by the end of the month, but the appraisal report indicates that the chimney needs to be tuckpointed. I'm getting FHA financing so the tuckpointing has to be done prior to close, but the seller and I agreed that I'll be responsible for it. I need to get estimates and have the work done ASAP so the closing date won't be compromised.
