Reviews of Kansas City Metal Siding Installation Contractors

Project: Install or Completely Replace Metal Siding
Harrisonville, MO

Project: Install CedarMax insulated siding on the home along with the RainDrop 3D building wrap used as a water-resistive barrier. From the very beginning of speaking with Chase Hite, owner of Great Plains Exteriors. This company and its workers are superior, professional, friendly, and always explained everything along the way. They completed the project on-time and cleaned up the work-site at the end of each day. I was very impressed with the workers and the quality of there work is outstanding. Our house looks awesome!!! I'm a very happy customer and I will be using Chase and his workers again in the future when its time to install replacement windows. I would most defiantly recommend using Great Plains Exteriors to anyone that wants high-quality products with a very high-quality company.

Ideas & Inspiration from Kansas City Siding Contractors

Kansas City Metal Siding

In Kansas City, the benefits of metal siding are well tailored to the elements of the city. First, the biggest benefit of metal siding, especially steel, is its strength. Should the worst happen and a tornado throw your neighbor's lawn furniture into your home, chances are steel siding won't even flinch. Impervious to wind, rain, pests, and fire, metal siding of all kinds will serve your home well. Recently, we've had homeowners Roeland Park and Lenexa take advantage of new metal siding for their home, but no matter where you live in the greater KC area, we can help you find the right contractor for all your siding needs.

Steel v. Aluminum Siding
Each type of metal has distinct advantages and disadvantages. Steel siding is considerably stronger than its aluminum counterpart, but the long-time knock against steel was its tendency to oxidize and rust. Galvanized steel and stainless steel are needed to prevent this process from destroying your siding, although these treatments have become so refined that corrosion is no longer a huge concern. Of course, corrosion with aluminum was never an issue. The problem was always that hail or other dangers threatened to dent aluminum siding. You can always install thicker aluminum that should match steel in terms of strength, but this destroys any savings that aluminum may have been able to offer.

Metal Siding Installation
Metal siding has been around for many, many decades. Aluminum used to dominate the residential siding market, until it fell to the insurgence and considerable benefits of vinyl siding. Recently, however, steel siding has taken up the call and improvements to lines of steel siding have caused a new surge of metal siding projects in residential applications. First, baked-on coatings and treatments can make your steel siding take on any number of colors and textures. Looking at pictures of steel siding installations can shock some homeowners who have immediate misconceptions about the appearance of steel.

Better yet, seamless steel siding can be fabricated to the exact dimensions of your home. This costs a bit extra but creates an unparalleled level of durability. No matter what siding material is used, the most vulnerable place of any siding installation tends to be the joints or seams between individual panels. Seamless steel siding eliminates this problem, creating a worry-free, low maintenance siding for your home.

Metal Siding Costs
With all the options associated with metal siding in Kansas City, or anywhere, the price range for this siding is also among the largest of any siding material. A thin and inexpensive aluminum siding will probably be on par with low-end vinyl siding, while seamless stainless steel siding with a decorative finish may rival some brick and stone siding installations. Naturally, there is also a wide swath of options in between, and this doesn't even account for the size of your home. Overall, metal siding installation in Kansas City might cost as little as $5,000 or more than $25,000.

Moreover, you shouldn't dismiss metal siding due to cost without at least talking to and soliciting estimates from a few siding contractors. Each and every contractor in our system is put through a rigorous ten-step screening process. We also provide you with access to our quality-controlled database of customer ratings and reviews so you can know what to expect from the contractors who do provide you with estimates.
