Comment: I have two strips of painted ~6" lap siding on the front of the house that seems to bulge in a 2 foot section and the lap under it seems to be deflated like it rotted inside. A nearby lap has a gap that needs to be caulked. However, there is a black fungus that is growing consistently in 3-2 inch spots even after bleaching it. The fungus is also showing up under the soffit in that same area. I would like to confirm there is no fungus underneath the siding and soffit and replace the siding and soffit in that 2-3 ft area.
