I hired The Chimney Guy (Mike) for a cleaning and inspection because my house had been filling with smoke when I used the fireplace. He came and did some diagnostics and educated me on various factors that might cause such a problem. But he said the chimney appeared to be drafting well and didn't need cleaning so he charged me $50 for the visit instead of the $75 we had agreed upon. I felt he was honest and competent, and I'm hoping there will be no problems with my next fire.
