The guys at Northern were fantastic. I didn't have time to compare estimates as I had water coming into my basement from under the floor and was going to be traveling out of the country soon, so I needed help fast -- and they gave it! First they explained what I needed and how it worked. They were very busy with all the flooding problems at the time, but within just a couple days I had a new sump pump and a dry floor. I had never needed this type of service before, but the price did not seem unreasonable for the effort, and the peace of mind. It was a relief to know my basement was dry while I was out of the country -- thanks, John & Russ!

Comment: We have a sump pump and a backup battery sump pump. The battery backup is not working and needs to be fixed or replaced. We have power outages once in a while, but the battery backup is only good for a few hours. Usually, when the power goes out I run an extension cord from my neighbor's generator and don't use the battery backup for very long. My concern is that I am out of town and the battery backup doesn't outlast a power outage. This has increased my interest in a hydraulic sump pump.
