Comment: My husband has vascular dementia and cannot help in the house nor the yard like he has always done before his triple bypass. My husband was better than I in doing chores in the house and in the yard. Now he no longer can remember where things go or where he has put away anything. I am unable to pick-up all the chores and errands (driving) he was doing for us because I am in a power wheelchair. We are retired Texas high school teachers and only have a teacher's pension for income. However, I do need someone who can help him for four to six hours. He still tries to do the chores in the house like he has always done but now he cannot remember the steps he needs to follows to correctly complete a household chore. He speaks English and Spanish.
