Project: Earthquake-Proof a Structure

Great job! Gave me a reasonable quote and stuck to it. Workers were clean and didn't leave a big mess when finished. They provided a certificate that enabled me to get earthquake coverage on my insurance.

Came on time, did what they said they would do, and finished on time. Their bid was about 40-50% less than the other retrofitting company I called, yet they got everything done and passed inspection. This father-son team is awesome!!

Comment: When I purchased my home, the inspector indicated that the foundation was in OK state but could use some work. There is a pillar near the center of the house that is resting on a slope, and the base of it is wearing away. The front of the house is on wood pile rather than concrete, and the rest of the foundation is concrete bricks but only part of the foundation is actually mortared together. I'd like to know what it'd take to improve this. The house has been standing for 100+ years so is probably not in bad condition, I just want to make sure I'm keeping it up-to-date properly.
