Comment: We are engineering firm designing a heap leach pad with a 28" dia hdpe well casing @ a 22 degree slope with a 12" dia x 12' long pump with 10" dia hdpe suction pipe (800' long). The problem we are running into is that when a pump needs service, we have to pull out the pump & 10" hdpe 800. Pulling out & inserting it back into 28" well casing what kind of forces are on the pipe welds (fusion welds will they hold?)
