Comment: Our home has a 2-car garage and above the garage is a tiled patio. The center of the garage contains a wood post that appears to be part of the support structure for the patio above (an apparent add-on). A contractor friend of mine believes that the center post in the garage is not necessary and could be removed without compromising the patio support structure. I'd like to get a quote for removing the center post and adding any additional support that might be required.
