Comment: I have a stone fireplace that has deteriorating mortar. My husband began to repair it, but the mortar that he applied is in different shades of gray, and doesn\'t look right. We decided we needed an expert. Also, there is a long narrow gap behind the ash dump on the floor of the back of the fireplace where concrete cracked and fell down to space below. I am thinking a 10\"x 1 1/2 \" flat peice of iron secured with mortar would fix the \nproblem. Thank you.
