Comment: One of the beams in our attic was cut out in the middle and posts were used to prop up the beam. One of the posts is not on a load bearing wall and the other, I believe is. The beam is somewhat sagging. It's been like this since we bought the house in 2008 and doesn't seem to have really changed much. We would like to get it repaired asap. I have a structural engineer's drawing from 2009ish. Thanks.
