Comment: Need an updated legal description & survey for approx 83 acres in Dinwiddie county (map34-40) that my brother & I inherited. The problem is that when our parents purchased the land, it was 171 acres in total with a state road through the middle, old survey exists. In 1987 our parents sold part of the property, approx 86 acres, using the road as the split. Then in 1998 the Commonwealth of Virginia straighten the road (taking 1.38 acres Wheaton Project # 0674-026-P441, C501) leaving approx 2.7 acres on one side of the new road & 81 acres on the other. No surveys were recorded when the parts were sold.
