Project: Remodel a Bathroom
"I hired this company to install a subfloor and tile as well as put up new drywall on a bathroom. I had already removed all the existing flooring and drywall. They were prompt and completed the job in an appropriate amount of time. With that being said, the workers had set up their tile wet saw outside my garage and it sprayed the debris and water all over the closed door. Given that it was cold outside cleaning it (which was done by the owner) was marginal at best and it will need to be addressed by me in the spring when the metal door is not so cold that the cleaner does not freeze upon contact. Also as it pertains to the clean-up and work area, what was cleaned up in the work area was done using my shop-vac and I still had to clean up the stairway and carpeting for dried mortar and debris tracked in. Other companies that I have used in the past will put down plastic runners especially when they are tracking in and out repeatedly but PHD did not. The drywaller was efficient and did a great job of matching the new drywall to the existing drywall. The surprising part is that while this was the most difficult part of the job and it was wonderful, the remainder of the finish work where all new drywall was installed was average at best and by no means of a quality that I would recommend. I must say that I am very picky in this regard, but I could have saved some money and done just as good of a job. Overall, PHD was easy to work with and did an adequate job but not up to the standard that I had hoped, which is why I have given them a 3-star rating."

Comments from PHD Maintenance Group, Inc.
Tough, but fair, Jason. I can not disagree with most of this and should we have the chance to work for you again, we will demonstrate what we've learned from the experience. There is no excuse for not protecting your home while we were in it. I am a little disappointed to hear about some of this through a review, instead of being given a chance to correct our course while our crews worked, but we understand that's what's comfortable for some folks. I am the owner and I ALWAYS stand by our work; in no way should anyone ever be required to clean up after my crews in any way and we are more than happy to return to do so if the polish job on the garage door I completed did not satisfy. Regardless, your feedback is appreciated and serves a purpose; it will be read aloud at our next company meeting so my guys can understand how important these details are. As for the drywall work that you are disappointed in, this is the first I've heard of it and I sure would have appreciated the chance to improve it. Still would, as a matter of fact. Thank you for the review either way though; honest feedback is extremely valuable to me when I can not be at every site every day.

Project: Install Wood or Stone Laminate Flooring
"Absolutely terrible experience with this crew. Our tile floor is so uneven, and unprofessional it's ridiculous. Took 4 guys 3 weeks to tile 3 small rooms and not one room is complete, even, or functionable. The tile is so uneven we trip over it walking through the room & it literally sinks in and bubbles up throughout the floor. I can not believe the mess they left behind. Our toilet was left in the middle of the family room. There's grout missing in several areas. They didn't throw ANYTHING away, just piled up everything on our porch and in our garage. Found boxes of tile broken and smashed in trash bags. We even had to buy MORE tile for them to finish the job & found 19 boxes full still under the mess they left behind! DO NOT HIRE THIS CREW. YOU WILL BE DISAPPOINTED AND RIPPED OFF. Tried to talk to BRIAN about all the issues and was told he can't help us and he doesn't care. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL "

Project: Remodel a Bathroom
"Awesome bunch of guys to work with. They redid our bathroom and worked with us. Brian had some great ideas that were even better than ours. Help solve a couple problems that we didn't know what to do. We even had him do some other work and he will be returning to do even more for us. Would highly recommend him to anyone needing work done! Very professional and hard working."
