Upon reaching an agreement with Mr Brian Duke of Advanced Home Solutions for work in our sunroom, I asked if he were licensed in Bowling Green. He said he was, but that was not true. Near the end of the project, I contacted the Bowling Green/Warren County Contractors Licensing Board regarding work done at our home by Mr BrianDuke and they confirmed that he was not licensed to work in the city or county. The Board stated in a letter to Mr Duke that working without a license in Bowling Green has serious consequences suh as: a violation, a code enforcement citation fine, an Injunction in Warren Circuit Court, and subject to other legal actions taken by the home owner. The quality of the work performed by Advanced Home Solutions was, at best, marginal. There were recurring problems with his work crew as to when they showed up for work or decided on leaving after only several hours of work. Also, there were days when they failed to appear at all. Numerous calls were made to Mr Duke with complaints about the work schedule and careless work performed by his crew. He made promises to address my concerns, but failed to do so. In short, Mr Duke was unresponsive to my concerns and proved to be unreliable and untrustworthy. He provided little supervision to the work being done . This led to limited quality control on the project. In a leter to Mr Duke on November 9, 2027, I identified the following items that he must address. First; a completion of work statement in order to process an insurance claim for the water migration problem and subsequent microbial growth on the studs and floor joists in the sunroom. Second: reimbursement for the $1,250.00 retainer for his company to begin work. Third: reimbursement for for electrical work done by another company because his work crew were unsure how to address the problem. Fourth: reimbursement for a hotel expense for two nights which was necessary for the spraying for mold in the home's crawl spece. For health reasons, this made it impossible for us to remain in the house during the spraying. Mr Duke had agreed that he would pay the hotel bill. There were other issues I encountered with Advance Home Systems. For example: The new drywall installed in the sunroom had nicks, cuts, and other irregularities. When I pointed these out to Mr Duke, he said he would have the crew "finish" the drywall. Also, he stated that paint would cover the "minor" imperfections. It did not. One other issue was the work crew's inadequate protection of the barrier around the work space to prevent dust and other debris from entering the rest of the home. The barrier was seldom maintained by the workers. On numerous occasions, I had to go into the work area after the crew had left for the day to secure the plastic barrier. Just over a week ago, my wife and I noticed how cold the floors were in the home. I had a friend come to our home and check the crawl space . Upon inspection, he said the insulation had been removed from under the joists. Mr. Duke ahd told me it was necessary to remove the insulation in order to spray all joists for mold, but he would put in new insulation afterwards. Obviously, he did not. There were other issues, but I believeI have addressed the primary concerns. In summary, I cannot, in good conscience, recommend Advanced Home Solutions to any unsuspecting customer. The owner's failure to contact me to discuss these issues is both irresponsible, and unprofessional. There is another word to describe his failure to return my retainer, completion of work statement, and meet his other financial obligations.

AHS is great to work with! Brian is very knowledgeable and can do any kind of home improvement that is needed! His crew of workers are professional and trustworthy, and I appreciate how AHS went above and beyond to take care of my home! Not only are they reasonably priced, but they fixed some other issues my home had at the same time...just to help me! I highly recommend AHS and will definitely use their services again in the future! Thanks to all at AHS!

Brian was very passionate and extremely helpful. His crew was kind, courteous, and very hard working. He had the best price for the job which was to encapsulate our crawlspace and have some interior mold remediation completed with drywall removal and replacement. I would 100% recommend his company for the encapsulation. It is phenomenal work and for a great price. Seriously fantastic work! However, the reason I could not give 5 stars was the interior drywall replacement and timeliness of the job. We were quoted 3-5 business days for both interior work and crawl space short of finding more issues in the wall. No additional issues were found in the wall and studs to delay work, but there were some extenuating circumstances that came up and were unforeseen on his end. I understand you cannot control for everything, but the project from start to finish ended up being 15 business days. It required us to reschedule with our employers daily for 3 weeks not knowing when the crew would be available to complete the project. Lastly, one of the additional reasons we selected this company was because they were the only company to include drywall replacement. I've installed drywall personally before, but it was nice to think I wouldn't have to worry about this project. However, the first attempt at installing the drywall was unacceptable. Portions of the new drywall were not level with the old drywall, and there was no tape used for the seams which cracked in 24 hours once dry. Brian did come back personally to work on it and correct it, but that also required an inordinate about of sanding to get close to smooth and the tape applied in the correction had peeled and bubbled up by the next day. I would be happy to provide pictures if needed. Luckily we were putting shiplap over the patch work, but it was not the quality level I had hoped from a professional contractor offering this service. Again, i wish i could give 5 stars but only for the encapsulation and mold removal. The drywall installation and timeliness were the only things I would want another customer to just be aware of in their project.
