I was having trouble with our heat pump, showing an error code of low pressure lockout. Their *technician* came out and told me my unit was low on coolant and he decided I had a leak in my evaporator coil. He quoted me a price of $3500. I paid him his $125 and called another company. They came out the next day and immediately told me I had plenty of coolant and the system worked perfectly on cool but would show system malfunction on the heat function. He spent the time to actually diagnose the problem and came up with a faulty reversing valve. The cost will be a fraction of what Aggieland quoted. I will not be using them again.
Response from Company:
We regret that we may not have communicated our findings properly. When we diagnosed the unit we found multiple leaks in his evaporator coil using a state of the art halide detector. Many companies charge hundreds of dollars for leak searches, we include it in our basic service call fee. That evaporator coil is leaking and will need to be replaced or the entire air handler. The heat was operating while we were there. If it was an intermittent heating problem, we did not detect that at the time of our diagnostic. We hope Mr. Westbrook will consider us when he has his air handler or evaporator coil replaced.

Arrived promptly, checked out my AC unit in the house and the outside unit, even checked my filter. Both men were very courteous, professional and I could not have been more pleased with my decision to chose Aggieland Climate Control. Since my AC required no work, I was not charged for the service call. You can bet I'll be using them when I do have a problem.

Nothing really special to say. It seemed a bit pricey but they did come out right away. They were helpful.

They did a good job to fix the problem. But when he gave me the total amount, I asked for itemized charge. He then went back to check A/C, etc, and filled in the itemized charge which includes checking of the A/C. Does that mean had I not asked for itemized bill, he would not checked A/C while still charging the same amount?

Mike Sellers, Service Manager, was awesome! He showed up early and checked/tested out both my unit outside and in the attic. Very courteous, professional and answered all my questions and assured me that everything was fine and what to look for in the future. I will definitely refer this company and will be using them in the future. Thank you Mike!

Honest, professional a/c company. I worked with them from a distance and provided an honest assessment with next steps on the problem we were experiencing.
