Luis was wonderful. He explained the entire process. I searched the information on the Trane furnace and asked other owners. I called him back to replace furnace and check sir conditioner to see if Freon was all that was needed. Our house is cool and we have a brand new furnace. He is great.

We actually ended up replacing the entire AC unit; it was 20 years old. Luis and his crew were professional, careful, respectful of our home and efficient. Luis did, as others have noted, explain the procedure and answer all questions to our satisfaction and the work was done in a timely manner as promised. Three stars for value because, according to this website, the cost was average.

I called them in the evening and they came out the same night. They did an amazing job diagnosing the issue then repairing right away. The cost of after hour service and repair was really affordable -- especially compared to some of the bigger companies (I think many homeowners can infer who I'm referencing). And they actually fixed my problem and spent the time making sure that it was really fixed.

they were courteous, but totally misdiagnosed a problem and cost me a lot of money.

Thank you for your comment. We are sorry that you are unhappy with the service. You complained of water leaking around the indoor A/C unit. We tested the condensate pump, which was operating normally, and freon levels, also fine. We noticed the duct work was sweaty which is not unusual, based on our experience, during weeks of high humidity; however, your duct work was exceptionally sweaty. We recommended keeping the fan on and changing the filter more often. You asked about dehumidifiers and our technician indicated that it might help. We charged only for our standard service call.

Technician was great, but the company and the bill I feel was completely unfair and unspoken until the work was completed. I have 1 property that has 2 AC units and I was charged 2 service fees, one for each unit even though that was not disclosed prior to repair and they are both at the same property. If I were hiring the technician alone I would give him a 5 star, however I would not rehire the company because I feel that was a shady billing move on their part.

A nice job overall. Air Efficiency Services advertised a free estimation visit on the Home Adviser site, but then ultimately charged for the first visit (which ultimately included some work). These policy nuances should be made more transparent on the website.

We agree, apologize, and regret the impression that our policy was not transparent. This was not intentional. We do offer free estimates for new system replacement or installation; but, repairs require work to diagnose the problem. We do, of course, provide a price quote for repairs when customers already know the part to be replaced; however, most of the time customers need us to inspect the system to discover the problem. Home Advisor's site has a line to check for "free estimates" but doesn't allow for clarification so we've unchecked the box on this site. Again, we do apologize. Thank you for taking the time to post a review.

I love the fact that they are open later in the evening so wereable to come and fix the A/C after work. Right on the spot...cheaper than most of the other companies.thank you home advisors for referring me to them...

Luis Castro is a splendid guy. He explained what he was doing and offered solid suggestions. He was in and out of here in 15 minutes. I went from no freon to full freon. And this is an old unit. He did not make fun of it, but did what he could to make it work right.
