Joe, the 3rd generation and son of this family business is as kind and courteous and adept as one can be. I thoroughly enjoyed my experience and LOVE my central VAC! First, I called and spoke to Alex on a Monday and scheduled for 9:30 am the next day to repair a hole in the PVC just inside one of our ports. He quoted me a repair cost of $129, his normal service call fee. On Tuesday, Alex was a no-call, no-show. I texted and left him a voicemail and did not get a response. I tried e-mailing, but the e-mail address was not found and the e-mail was returned. Alex called me this afternoon, Wednesday, and said he had a job in Leadville that was extended. He claimed he was without service the whole time and did not receive my messages until today. He was not very apologetic for a no-call, no-show, but said he could come by and make the repair today. He called me *buddy* multiple times, which I considered pretty unprofessional, as not showing for an appointment did not really makes us *buds*. I still needed this fixed ASAP, so I agreed. I asked about the price, and he still quoted me the same price from Monday. In the end, the repair consisted of him putting a piece of metal tape behind the hole, that isit. I could have bought a roll for $20 at the home maintenance store and saved $109 doing it myself. A good contractor probably would have suggested I do so in the first place and built trust with their customer for future, more lucrative work. All in all, this was a very bad experience. To no-call, no-show, provide a lame excuse (I am sure there is a phone somewhere in Leadville), not even offer a discounted price for not showing, and then just use a piece of tape as the repair, to me, is as unprofessional and inexcusable as it gets.
