I had 4 quotes. Only Al's Roofing caught the need for added fascia on a portion of the roof. Also preferred their roof venting system to others.

Al the owner went well above expectation with the repairs. They were quick in doing the work. The repairs fit my budget. I would recommend Al's roofing to anyone who asked about their work.

Jim Garza the Estimator was very friendly but professional and kept me informed about the project. The men that work on the job were also professional. I was very happy with the job performance.

Al was given $5.500 to replace a portion of our roof that is flat and contained two skylights. This was done on June 28, 2019. The original problem was a water leak in the closet in the master bedroom. We also requested the skylights be replaced. Al says somebody came out to measure for the skylights but he never got back to us. Al did not do the work but had his son do the project while Al was in the hospital. When the rains came late November, the two skylights had major water leaks because they did not put any flashing around the skylights. They used some orange sealant. We begged Al to address the major leaking. He deliberately refused to return our calls. Only after multiple daily calls did he respond. He came out and placed a tarp over the roof. He never called us back to address the problem. We continued to call until he agreed to come out. He admitted that his son did not do a good job. After he supposedly completed the job it continued to leak. Also, new leaks sprang up in the second closet filling the ceiling light cover with water and spilling onto the floor. Other leaks appeared Coming from the bathroom ceiling vent. We called Al again and he dragged his feet coming out. He said he would come on a Friday three weeks ago and stood us up with no call no show. We called and called and he finally came out again and said it is watertight Another rain came and it leaked again in the closet and filled an orange Home Depot bucket half full. We called Al again and he said he would come by last Saturday and stood us up, again. I left a message on his phone and told him we will seek legal action. Al then calls me three days later and left a nasty message that he did stop by and replaced some shingles where the flat roof transitions to shingles. We had another roofer and skylight company come out twice to check Al s work. Again, Al did not put up any flashing around the skylights. He used asphalt only to seal the cracks. He smeared asphalt on an area where he said the leak was coming from and lied that he replaced some shingles. We will be contacting California state licensing and will be submitting pictures and will be filing a small claims court case in Riverside. Al is unreliable, gives constant excuses and his work is substandard.

Al's roofing called within the hour after I posted my service request. Jim Garza , the estimator came out the next day, provided a fair estimate and I hired them to make the repair which they did over the same weekend. An area that Jim missed on the estimate which was leaking over the weekend, he sent his guys out three days later and got it fixed with no additional charge. No more leaks from past weekend's rain so far.

I had three guys come out. The first guy never got back to me with the estimate. The second guy wanted to put a new roof on. Al came out and repaired the area that needed repairing and said the rest of the roof was in good shape.
