Bill Wickberg stopped by and completed my small quick project to tighten some loose steps on my deck. He was quick and efficient and did not feel the need to write a quote and return a different day. Yeah! Some confusion over a missed appointment, and arriving without an appointment, but very satisfied with the work and his expertise.

Project: Install Drywall
The intention of this report is to alert costumers about the behavior of AMERICAN HANDIWORK company, contracted by me through Home Advice to rebuild my house Daniel Director, American Handiwork Inc. XXX-XXX-XXXX XXXXXXXXX@XXXXXXX Starting with an original, hand written estimate almost unreadable and per Daniel not showing up to start the job and sent his supervisor EVEN, who suggested changes in the estimate, raise the prices already agreed and asked me to go buy and pay materials because they did not have money to do it. Even simulated that was talking to Daniel by phone. After all that maneuver of EVEN worried about their attitude I wrote down a new estimate, read it to EVEN who asked me not to send it to Daniel. I sent it anyway because I have ethics and consider Daniel should be in knowledge of it. Even and other boy with him started the job. The first thing they did was to spoil a bucket of one gallon of painting on the floor that went all the way through the basement. They starting with insulation which was terrible done, space all over they did not even have tools to work. After starting to install drywall on the ceiling, all drywall plates installed were uneven and had to be removed and reinstalled. As the quality of the work taking place in my home was below my expectations I saddened call Daniel to inform him that I wanted to end our business relationship and terminate this contract effective immediately. He said he did not like how I do business and he will not come back. On Monday he came back anyway with other workers. All inept as the previous one. By that moment I ended up at the Hospital for an urgent surgery and stay at the hospital until last Friday. On Friday I went to the house and when I saw what they did in my house I almost faint. First thing they went to lunch and I found they left a lit cigarette that could have fired my house, zero security and respect. I wrote Daniel this email: I regret to say that your employees have spilled dust all over, 2 inches, who supposed to bring a vacuum cleaner to clean the basement, did not bring it and very poorly cleaned the basement using my only small broom. They also had to remove all the blue tapes covering the edges of the ceiling and the door frame. Removing the tape they teared off and ripped the painting all over. The painting is terrible sloppy done, ceilings have two uneven colors, the uneven levels in the dining room repairs are notable as well. The bad practices using the sanding machine wore out the drywall paper. The result is that I will have to mud and paint again the kitchen and dining room. I will have to hire people to repair the damages and also buy new materials. The closet was not finished. The quality of the work taken place in my home was completely below my expectations and disrespectful treatment to my person, since the beginning of the project. No ethic, no skills, no professionalism, no respect. I am saddened inform I need you to reimburse the third final payment check I delivered to you: PNC bank check #154 date 07/18/2019 for $ 1098 (one thousand ninety eight dollars) that cancels the contract and includes compensation for issues and damages done. I am enclosing pictures showing how the house was left. I paid the whole job punctually ($3950). I can add pictures. Daniel is still laughing of me!!!!!! I hope HOME ADVISE stops their contract so they do not scam more people at Pittsburgh. They are flying birds from Texas who need to learn ethic, respect and how to work. I had the necessity to repair my house and come back to my normal life. I hope justice exists. My phone XXX-XXX-XXXX Delia Fojo
