Wayne does good work, but he does not provide an accurate quote. He quoted us a price for the job after contacting his distributor and according to him they gave him the wrong price for the compressor for our refrigerator and he passed the difference onto us. He charged us the extra money while blaming the distributor. It is simply bad business to quote a costumer one price and then charge them more money, in our case it was $100 more. He said that this happens all of the time, when the distributor gives him the incorrect price for a part. Well, I suggest you get a new distributor! This calls the integrity of his business into question. Lastly, he did give my elderly mother (who had been without a refrigerator for several weeks) the opportunity to cancel the repair for a refund (minus the initial visit) when he found out that it was the wrong part. But, who is going to cancel the repair when they are in the middle of getting it done? I did contact him to plead my case, but he offered no other resolution for the issue and continues to state that it is the distributor s fault and not his. I contend that the customer should not have to pay for his mistake. Once again, great work, but changes the quote of his projects.

They did not show up the first time even though they had all the info they needed, when the technician came he took a glance at the dryer from above (after removing just the top) and gave me the diagnostic - it is the belt and the pulley, and they will get back to me with a price (they charged $60 even though they said $50 initially). However, two days gone and I got a call with the price: over $200 so the pulley and belt (you can find them on Amazon for under and over $200 for installing the parts. All in all almost $450 - and you can buy a new one for about the same price and have the warranty. Greedy and unprofessional ! Will never recommend!

Project: Repair or Service an Appliance
I put in a computer request. The company calls me and tells me the fee to diagnose a repair to my washing machine is $50. I am told that if I have the repair done then the 50 dollars goes towards the repair. A man shows up at my door. He looks and sounds professional. So I allow him into my home. He goes into the laundry room and some 10 minutes later comes out and tells me I need a motor coupling or something like that. He gives me no price. He goes outside then comes back in and to the laundry room. About 20 minutes later he presents me with a bill for $80. I never got an estimate, never had a chance to agree or disagree, just got handed the bill. It did not bother me then because, Wayne, seemed like a professional. The washer was working, the price was OK so I was not upset that he never gave me the estimate --before-- he fixed it and presented me with the bill. He impressed me so much that I had him look at my dryer that was still working but not drying stuff as quickly. He goes to look at the dryer. A few minutes later he comes to me and says that the dryer is working but the exhaust vent is clogged. He tells me that he needs to vacuum it out and goes to get his equipment. He does not tell me an estimate nor do I ask. I mean how much can a vacuum cleaner job cost? Fifteen minutes later he gives me a bill for $60 for fifteen minutes worth of vacuuming. He tells me that he is not sure he fixed it because to make sure he would have to vacuum from the roof. I figure if it cost $60 to vacuum for fifteen minutes in an air-conditioned house, then to get a ladder and climb and vacuum from the roof is probably $360. And I know he is not going to tell me how much until he is done with the work. So I do not pick up on his hint and I do not ask him to clean it from the roof. Despite his office telling me that I would get an estimate first it never happened either time. There is a place on the form the customer is supposed to sign to authorize the repair. Instead, the man uses that place to put the date of the repair. Either he thinks authorization means the date or he does not want the customer to notice that no authorization took place. This guy fixes first and charges second after it is too late to tell him not to. Heck, if he told me it would cost $60 to vacuum for fifteen minutes I would have told him I would pay the $50 estimate bill instead. It would have saved me $10. I do not know if it is a setup con where the woman on the phone knows that he will fix the unit first or if they just have not communicated enough for the office person to know what the technician is doing. The technician looks and speaks great. He is really convincing as a trustworthy person. The washer works great and as far as I know, his $60 vacuum job was also good. There is no way to tell since he tells me before leaving that he is not sure if he really fixed it or not. I contacted him a couple of days after the repair. I complimented him on his work but suggested that he actually does offer the customer an estimate --before-- he does the work. I tell him I did not want any money back, just that he takes it serious about presenting the estimate before he does the repair and charges the customer. My letter was polite. Instead, this guy writes me back the rudest response telling me that my lack of cleaning out the laundry exhaust almost burned down my house. I guess he was not too worried about my house burning down when he told me he was not sure he fixed it and left. His response to my polite letter was condescending and childishly rude. He writes that --Appliance MD is a High-End repair specialist-- and normally the charge for vacuuming would be $180. Who is he kidding? Wayne installed a hood fan for May range and the upper piece did not have Enough room he took the piece and Had it cut to size and returned the next day installed it perfectly

Wayne was on time, very helpful in finding a solution and the next day was back to install a new disposal. The installation was done promptly and the pricing was quite reasonable.
