I have to take this step by step to show the trouble with this contractor. First it was suppose to be completed in a timely and professional manner. The contract was signed on March 30,2017 and was completed on June 20,2017. Was told it would only take 30 days but it was way longer. And on the day it was completed it looked horrible. Communication. There wasn't any. We would have to reach out to get figured out when somebody was actually coming out to work. There were a few days nobody even showed. At one point there was 3 weeks straight nobody even showed up. This would be one of the main issues. Even when the people that were sub-contracted out wasn't sure about something they was suppose to do they had a time getting ahold of the actual contractor. Was even informed by them of of little communication with the contractor. The people that were sub-contracted knew more about the job then the actual contractor most of the time. The contractor needed to be "reminded" even when stuff was listed in the contract on a piece of paper. The flooring order was put in before my consent on the price as well. That really ticked me off due to not discussing the price upfront. We informed the contractor of multiple things that needed to be fix. They were fixed but looked worse then they did to begin with. On the completion day things still didn't look right. No paint touch ups were even done. You could tell on the wall the spots. Contacted the contractor with a response of "ok" we will see if things get fixed. Now on to the good stuff. The electrician was the best. He was very knowledgeable and professional. Always showed up when he said he was and even got in touch with the contractor to move things along. When he was done he did a complete walk through of his work. He was the only professional one. The flooring people were awesome and very upfront. The painters however are another story. Horrible and no way they were professional. No drop clothes. Paint was over the new floor of that was installed and over a few items that were left in the basement area. I could have done better. All in all nothing was squared away and this was the worst decision we made. Very unprofessional and u organized. I thinks it's time to throw in the towel for the contractor. We Should have went with somebody more professional and expensive to know the job would have been done correctly the first time around. Don't waste your time with BC Construction. I would never put a company down but this was just a horrible experience from start to finish. I wouldn't want anybody else not even my worse enemy to have to deal with this person. It was very unprofessional to leave a job the way he did. No walk through at all and so many issues and problems. Still waiting to see if stuff actually gets fixed.

Project: Install or Replace an Asphalt Shingle Roof
BC Construction installed a new roof and skylight for us. The skylight started leaking immediately. Mr. Carpenter came out on numerous occasions to "fix" it but it still leaks. My last phone call to Mr. Carpenter was ignored. I am hiring a reputable company to fix the mistakes and poor workmanship. A licensed roofing contractor has examined the roof and has told me that flashing was either installed upside down or not at all. Roofing nails were put in wrong and the skylight is too small for the opening. We now have water damage caused by leaks. We are very disappointed in the work and hope that this review helps others in the future.
