They were late and didn't ID themselves when they arrived, but they got the job done. They did more than needed to be done and I was grateful.

Adam was very professional. He determined the root problem and offered a long term solution as well as a short term fix. I went with the long term fix requiring a drain line being replaced. After looking at the parts he removed I am so glad I took his advice.

Adem Riecken returned my initial call, came to the house next day - (nice young man). He assessed the problem (he did not hesitate to go under the house to make his assessment) he told us the problem , then he gave a quote for repairs. We agreed on the date for start. The service was excellent - on time, he would always call to let me know he was coming, and kept me informed on progress. Adem and his partner did everything promised, (sorry don't remember the young partner's name - also a nice young man). These guys were great!!!! thanks for a nice job.

Adam, the spokesperson for Barry and Sons, quoted me $135 to investigate occasional blockage in a toilet. If you are going to remove a toilet, it is implied the homeowner wants that toilet to be reinstalled after investigating the problem and repairs, so there should be no extra charges. I just hate being nickel and dimed to death. Removing the toilet is implied that the wax seal is to be replaced automatically, and should be automatically part of the "final" price quote that is given to a homeowner. Secondly, Home Depot and Lowes people emphasized to me to replace the toilet hold-down bolts. Do not reuse the bolts, or else you run into problems. Thirdly, there was a recommendation to replace the old "water fill" assembly, but that has nothing to do with flushing problems I had with the toilet. It was more of a distraction to increase the price. Lastly, we talked about with the on-scene plumber the possibility of replacing the toilet, since we did not see any obstructions. The price quadrupled and forced us to reinstall the old toilet which I believe had no problems. The old toilet was reinstalled, reusing the old bolts, delaying the finishing of the work order. Now, I will live with the old toilet, and paid $172 to investigate a problem and found none. Very expensive ordeal.
