This was my first remodel (Kitchen) and I was very nervous because I had heard all sorts of remodel horror stories. The quote they gave me for the job was right on the money. The crew is good. My new kitchen is beautiful. I always got a response to any questions I had. I would feel comfortable recommending them to friends and family,

While most of the individual craftsmen did a reasonably good job on our project, Basic Construction, as a whole, failed miserably. Our project, a fairly simple kitchen remodel, was contracted to take seven weeks. It ended up taking nineteen weeks! We requested some extra work that added just over $600 and about two days of work to the contract. There were over $2,200 of additional charges for costs that should have been foreseen by a competent contractor. Only after we were well into the contract did Brian Heggen admit that he knew nothing about our flooring material or how to install it. We were hit with an additional charge of over $1,400 for the flooring. Then, we had to call the flooring subcontractor back in twice before he got it installed properly. Brian Heggen was of no help, whatsoever, in assuring that this issue was properly resolved. Had Brian Heggen been onsite nearly as frequently as he promised during his interview, he would have detected the gas leak in our kitchen. Instead, my wife and I had to call twice to report the leak before someone came to fix it.
