Reviews
Write a ReviewBath Planet remodeled our bathroom and it looked good. Soon after the shower valve exploded and flooded our home. They said to contact Moen because the valve was at fault. The plumber who repaired the pipes and installed the new valve said the install Bath Planet did was faulty and not acceptable. DO NOT USE THEM!
It is really hard to rate the job as it has not been finished.
On March 30, 2023, I sent a letter to the owner of Bath Planet of Northern Arizona and received no response. The following is a summary with names omitted. I am writing to let you know how disappointed we are in our recent bathroom remodel. Here is a list of the issues we faced during our remodel. Started on 1/9/23 and finished 3/18/23. Ten weeks to finish an estimated three day job was very problematic as it put the rest of our remodel on hold until the installer finished. He did send texts to let me know when he would be at the house to work, but I felt like he was just squeezing us in between other jobs. The installer used scraps of drywall instead of full sheets. The walls have many more seams and bumps and flaws than they should have. My husband spent two days prepping the drywall for paint. The installer used a different valve for the shower instead of the one we supplied, and his was for a shower/tub combo. The valve we provided was for a shower only. Now we have one more place for a leak to occur as well as not knowing the quality of the valve (was it re-used, old, not as durable, etc.) We saw on cameras that the installer dragged the shower panels to get them into the house and we have a few scratches on the panels. The shower was installed before completing the drywall making the job harder as well as possibly contributing to the scratches and chips in the panels. Also, the shower panels are covered in powder, adhesive, caulk, and silicon. I spent several hours cleaning the panels. The completed shower leaves much to be desired. The wall panels are not even in height, nor is the shower caddy. The spacing between the wall panels and the shower pan is not consistent and the silicon/caulk is not smooth and already has cracks, gaps, and marks where he started and stopped applying the silicon. The drain is not centered either. The pex was not installed correctly. He did not push the pex tubing all the way against the fitting stop nor did he crimp the tubing at the tab. Nothing is leaking so far but the reliability of the connections is in doubt. The sink shutoff valves are not correct for our faucets. He did not look at the faucets we provided. Additionally, the toilet and faucet shutoff valves have an attached hose so when the toilet or faucets need to be replaced we will have to replace the shutoff valve as well since the hose and especially the gasket needs to be replaced at the same time. That requires turning off the water to the house which is very inconvenient or impossible in winter. He should have installed just a shutoff valve, no attached hose. The installer did not look at the weather to schedule us so he came during the worst weather. He had to park his trailer at Home Depot. My husband hung two sheets of drywall to help move things along. The installer did not clean the main bedroom where he was working. I had to scrape drywall mud off the floor and vacuum up a lot of drywall dust. We do not want you to send the installer out to fix anything. We signed off on the job because we will fix what we can ourselves, hire someone if we cannot, or live with the flaws in the shower.
Repaired tub and it’s perfect
Xzavier, who installed my shower was a delight! He explained what he would be doing and how much time he would take. Enjoyed his short time here. Love my shower! P.S. I almost didn't let him start after I realized that Bath Planet was affiliated with Reliant Capitol. There was a problem with them in the past but I took a chance with dealing with Reliant again. (The Bath Planet salesman was great) .
Very professional and knowledgeable
