Had to wait for a break in the weather but when they came the tech worked outside in the heat to dig and repair the broken line.

I was initially impressed by Benjamin Franklin, from the time they took my appointment to the constant contact from the repairman before he showed up at my home. However, $300 to replace the kit inside the toilet tank felt like a complete ripoff. I had a handy man install TWO kits last summer in my bathrooms and that cost me just $150. $300 for ONE kit felt excessive. If it weren't for the fact that I was having company, I would have cancelled the service. The other issue I have is that I was asked to join a "club" to get discounts. Pardon me, but that was the last thing I wanted after shelling out $300 for ONE toilet kit. I can honestly say that I will never call these folks again. I'll stick with a local handyman who doesn't charge excessive fees to cover national overhead.

There was a leak under the kitchen sink. The repair ended up costing much more than expected. I was not home to inspect the reported problems, so I had to accept the explanation via phone. The landlord said that the kitchen faucet was brand new just 6-months ago, so it should not have needed replaced. I feel bad about the cost to repair a leak, especially because I am not certain that the work performed was necessary. It may have been, but I will never know. The cost of the replacement faucets offered started high and went to very high. The customer service person on the phone that made the appointment was helpful and called the home owner to verify that I could schedule a repair. The tech was scheduled for the next morning which was good.
