    Gus was very informative and helpful and although he came to fix one problem- a burned out AC motor...he realized it was only a burnt wire and the motor did not need to be replaced. As such he fixed that and charged me less. This was in sharp contrast to a technician from a large reputed company who clearly misdiagnosed the problem, and tried to up sell me a new unit, and was also charging almost double the price to replace the AC motor compared to Blue Star. I definitely recommend them and will use them again

    Gus was my tech. He was very nice and helpful. He troubleshot the issue with me over the phone yesterday, and came out today with the inducer motor my furnace needed to run. I was very pleased with Gus and his prompt work. But was displeased with the confusion and/or misunderstanding regarding the total cost. I was told Sunday night $275 for the motor, $85 hourly labor rate. Gus installed the motor in 20 minutes or so. Based on my conversation with Gus, I should have paid $275 for the motor, and $42.50 for a 1/2 hr. Of labor. I ended up paying $275 for the motor and $85 for an hour of labor totalling $360. When I inquired the $85 labor rate was now being called an $85 "service fee". We never discussed a service fee. I was not amused. This company owes people who hire them CLEAR PRICING and what each cost is for. I'm conflicted whether I would use them again, which is a shame, because I would have been a longtime and loyal customer.

    Mr. John, In all consideration sr, your furnace is over 20 + yrs old and unsafe to operate. I did highly recommend replacement of your furnace. Our pricing are highly competitive granted we did go out on New Year?s day. It?s unfortunate that your furnace was unrepairable, but thank you for feed back.
