Project: handyman to safely secure a couple of warped deck planks. shrub and a small patch of grass landscaped. E. Jones of CP Junk Removal called and we scheduled an appointment. the landscaping looked like a weed eater was used but unfortunately, it ate the lawn, where it looks bare and patchy, not freshly cut I wasn't happy with the work but I didn't fuss with Mr. Jones. I didn't want to even voice a concern because I wasn't interested in what he considered a satisfactory remedy. I Figured Id cut my losses. I asked how much to redo the entire porch and I was quoted 3500-3800. After I said that was a lot, he dropped down to 2800. that was a welcomed discount, but it also made me feel like the price was inflated if a few short words can knock the cost down 1000 bucks. I told Mr Jones I had to do my due diligence and get multiple quotes. I paid Mr Jones his 150 promptly and with no protest or haggling and then I peacefully continued my landscaper/handyman search. I returned to home advisor and I saw an opportunity to review CP JUNK. Instead of noting that the step feels MORE dangerous now, I just rated cp junk low. Granted he noted needed to do more but in the essence of safety and aesthetically pleasing work, I thought the attempt wasn't worth the time/money/ and subsequent hassle. Fireworks came on July 16th this year. Mr. Jones calls and asks why did u give me a bad review? I told him that I didn't like his work and we are more concerned about someone tripping than we were before you proffered your services. I said I didn't put any details in the review, I left these tidbits out for your sake. I didnt get to finish that sentence because at this point Mr Jones is yelling at me and I literally could not get a word in! I hung up because I was being disrespected and I wasn't being afforded the opportunity to answer his initial question or to defend my previous 1-word review. I called him back to have a civil conversation. But He continues to scream and then said and I quote, **this is why I Don't Like to do business with BLACK PEOPLE**. I said I paid you and moved on I'm not sure what I owe you. He said it was just a patch and you said you'd get back to me or check elsewhere and I said right, I checked elsewhere. You're upset at my review and you're calling me in an irate state because of it. So Id like to add hostility, racism, and disrespect to accompany lackluster workmanship to an already sparkling review. He then hung up on me and texted something like you get what you pay for and upped the quote to 4500. I think his angle is that he said more was needed. my angle is the matter didn't get better. We should've regrouped and went at It properly. The neighbors said it looked like someone took a drawer off of a bedroom dresser to try to fix the planks. Your review reflects how your customer feels about your work. Your poor work is where your anger should be directed, not At the messenger. I thank mr Jones for coming out quickly to try to put my steps in a better, safer state. Unfortunately, the feeling is that the steps are Not safer after your work. A solution could be to lay out options/scenarios, materials, costs. Provide accurate quotes for work to be performed, materials needed, labor hours expected. Get Approval of the vision before the beginning update as you find more

I know what everyone is going through.Your yard was bad smell like piss but we did a good job.but know u trying to bring down what i built.Have a good day sir.Somethings do not sound right.People u got staying in your apartment they deserve better than what u putting out. Mr.jones.
