I had never seen a service call performed so fast. After in screwing a plate off the back of my dryer, Chris stated my motor failed, he never quoted a price only that it cost about 400 to 500 at Home Depot, the cost the part (never quoted) plus labor it wouldn't be worth it. I think that is my decision. He charged his 85.00 service fee along with his undisclosed fee of using a credit card. Chris is out here running from house to house collecting service and not performing a service however while inspecting your appliance he is advertising other services his business performs. I do not recommend using Chris unless you want to get ripped off and less informed about your appliance then before he arrived.
Response by Capitol Mechanical Appliance: Don't know why customer is upset. She had options given. Repair or replace. Dryer was old and it would cost $375.00 to repair. The dryer brand new is $425.00. She was aware of the trip charge before I came out. Don't need to get a bad review for advising customer options. Wow.

Chris was a pleasure to deal with. The work was prompt and assuring. He was in and out quickly and respectful to the Maine Coon Cat assisting him. In today's world everything is expensive but I do not feel it was excessive because he was up front about the house call and I made that decision.

knowledgeable and courteous and friendly. he did have to come back the next day as he needed a part, he was early, and he cleaned up after the job was done without being asked. I now have a working dryer and will keep his information handy in case of anything else coming up.

We were contacted by Chris through Home Advisor when I was looking for someone to fix our fridge that was not cooling. He came out on March 14th and quickly diagnosed the issue. He said he will fix the issue by replacing a part (that he had in his truck) and also add Freon. It was fixed quickly and I was charged $350 (which I thought was ridiculously high, but oh well, what was I going to do). On Monday 04/23, a month later, the fridge is not working. I contacted Chris, he promptly answered my first call and said he would call me back in 15 mins. He did not. I texted and called him the next day, no answer. Yesterday I decided to blow up his phone, and finally after more than a dozen calls, he answers. He says that he is now only focusing on air conditions and will be passing my info along to another repair man. He also added that I live "across the world from him" so he can't come out. He is passing the buck off to someone else and not taking ownership of him not actually fixing the fridge's issue. I am convinced he just added Freon and left, without actually repairing anything. If this wasn't a $350 "fix" I would not be typing up this review, but since it is, I feel it is necessary to warn others. I contacted him this morning, and have not heard back. If Chris decides to act professionally and take ownership of the issue, I will GLADLY update my review. According to the rest of the reviews, it seems like he knows what he is doing, so not sure why I have had this terrible experience.
