Reviews
Write a ReviewWe rehired Ray after he completed 2 bathroom remodels for us a few years back. Similar to other reviews, Ray is very skilled at tile work but exaggerates his other skills. We were pretty happy with the work he did on the bathrooms, so hired him to finish our basement. Ray gives you a general quote handwritten on paper and if requested will sort of break it down into some detail. Our experience with him in the basement completed in Nov 2021 was awful. First, the project started in Feb 2021 when we got on his schedule and finalized the detail. The scheduled start date was for May. This date slipped to June 12th and then it was very inconsistent. After he started a few days then the issues began. Lots of no-shows, lots of excuses. Show up for a week, then disappear for 2 weeks. Always with a more ridiculous excuse. From his entire staff quitting (which I think really happened) to hurt his back, burning his finger, personal issues with wife, kids, babysitter, issues with his phone, multiple flat tires. etc. Interesting though he was never able to call and let me know of not being able to make it that day. It was just a no-show and no communication for multiple days. I started to hire outside contactors after a few weeks of no-show and after I communicated this Ray showed up more often and rushed through the work. Not happy with the final results and made multiple threats to myself and my family for no payment after months late, not completing all parts of the contract and sloppy work. No idea what is going on with Ray but was a much better contractor a few years ago. I would avoid him until he straightens out whatever he is going through.
We hired Ray following a good experience with him doing tile and floor work in the home several months prior. However, with this recent project, he collected over $10,000 from me, and never completed any work. He was supposed to complete the project in March but did nothing. He made promises and revised the start date. Months passed. I waited until September but finally, I had to hire someone else to complete the work. I could not complete the re-finance on my home without the work finishing (given the nature of the project). He has now been non-responsive for months now, he owes me money, and he has not made even a small payment on the money owed in good faith. Having had success with Ray before, we can attest that the quality of his work is very good. However, he seems unable to run a business effectively. I am now working with the attorney general office and about to move to litigation. Save yourself the stress and hire someone more responsible, someone, who does good work and responsibly runs a business. I wish I did.
He is a good guy but he is a poor communicqator and does not stick to a schedule. He is very creative but lacks perfection in his job. He mess up my bathroom floor.
Ray Cecchetti & his crew were true professionals from the the time they arrived as scheduled Monday July 20th. They started by covering all hard floor areas with paper taped down and all carpet areas in work areas with plastic. We hired them to install a new kitchen back splash and new ceramic tile bathroom floor in basement. They finished both areas on schedule that week as promised and cam back to some additional work not in the original scope. Both areas look great, I wish I could upload pictures to show the professional jobs they completed for us in our Cranberry Township home. We recommend Cecchetti Tile & Home Remodel as they were priced competitively and performed the work like pros.....
March 30, 2020 to July 02, 2020.... BEWARE, BEWARE, BEWARE, Con Artist Special, the general contractor Ray Cechetti is the Worst contractor ever, he states he is a Professional holy Crap, Ray is a Professional Con Artist, Liar, thieving, etc. I Hired Ray Cechetti to remodel our master bathroom and tile our sunroom during the start of COVID-19 March 30, 2020, he stated he had a crew of 8 guys, well long story short as of July 01,2020 he has 3 employees!!! He is the most unprofessional contractor ever, his work still is not completed after a two month project that turned into a 4 month project. PLEASE BE AWARE DO NOT LET HIM DO ANYTHING IN YOUR HOUSE. He will demo everything and never place plastic up or cover carpets will accuse the client for his mistakes and when you bring a problem to his attention if you can get a hold of him because in 4 months he the General Contractor showed up on the job 1 week and 2 days., his employees state he doesn t show up in the morning to tell his employees what to do so the employees will call the client and ask what they need to do. What !!!! What a night mare. I have my main bathroom with a design that was never close to what we wanted so my wife will hang a barn door shower curtain up because she is so disgusted with his work that still is not completed. People PLEASE, PLEASE Research the Con artist. I have filed a complaint with the BBB, Commonwealth of PA. , Homesdvisor, etc. Ray Cechetti Tile and remolding is the BIGGEST MISTAKE YOU WILL MAKE. He will Hound you for money, up front at half down when other contractors ask for a quarter down. Not one Wall or bathroom wall is level, I have to pay extra for shower glass when I was told it was included, master bathroom shower floor is uneven and puddles water,I have plugs and switches that were replaced that don t work, so I had to hire a Real Professional Electrician to correct Cechetti Tile & Remolding wiring, plus the mess and dust and dirt left behind. I now have to replace the carpet in my master bedroom because Grout water was spilled all over a unprotected carpet. Ray Cechetti will tell you he does Landscaping and under cut his friends to get the job and uses BLACK GARBAGE BAGS AS WEED CONTROL!!!! WTF ..... who does this work,, CECHETTI TILE. Remember DO NOT USE THIS CON ARTIST. TRUST ALL THE BAD REVIEWS... I have pictures of everyday and pictures of all the mistakes from Ray CECHETTI TILE AND REMOLDING... Past complaints are TRUE on all the lies, no show, no work completed on time or even showing up on the job, he screams at his employees when all they try to do is correct his mistakes, doesn t pay them, then they complain and he fires them. Just a down right rip off. CECHETTI TILE DO NOT HIRE. I can go on and on about this man because he Destroyed my House, my beautiful Hardwood floors have Gouges and scratches in every room, every lamp shade broken, wood furniture with scratches, my mother s china cabinet with broken glass and scratches in the wood.PLEASE PLEASE BE AWARE OF CECHETTI TILE......

The owner of the company Cecchetti Tile very immature business owner, poor management of his project cost, unwilling to accept responsibility for errors made by him or his team. Continuity lied to me about scheduling, many no shows, no advance notice of no show, reschedules or lies. His people would not show, I would not get a date and he kept putting me off and putting me off. Terrible communication with Ray, this has been going on for 2 months, refuses to finish the punch list. He has blocked my text messages, I can no longer connect with him. He miss drove holes in the new countertop for the sink and faucet and numerous other mistake.
Ray Cecchetti the owner came and installed a shower. A couple months later some of the grout was cracking and coming out. I text him about 10x to come out and fix the problem. He is blaming the problem on the grout manufacturer. If that is the case then all the grout would be cracking and coming out.
Work was well done. Very courteous and technically adept. Finished the work in the time discussed. Charges were reasonable. Would hire them again.
