Their estimate was higher than others but since it included 'replacing defective or rotted wood' I was alright with the price. The owner Mike Jackson and I had walked around the house and identified problem boards. After the power washing, 2 new problem boards became apparent over the garage door. I understood there would be an additional charge but the extra amount was not discussed before the 2 boards were replaced. After completion of the job, the extra amount charged was $525 of which I thought was excessive and I expressed my displeasure. He explained that other boards were part of the $525, and so we either have a misrepresentation or a misunderstanding. I paid the added amount, and while the work itself was fine, I would have some apprehension in recommending this company.
Response by Quality Painting Systems: This is a wonderful customer and we understand the frustration he may have with the additional cost. The proposal we provided him, as all our exterior proposals do, details the known carpentry needs in a specific carpentry section of the proposal. This includes a picture of the area, even with an arrow pointing to the specific boards that are known to need replacement. His proposal like all others, includes the following highlighted statement: ?Carpentry work includes known and seen needs only, it does not include what may come evident or visible after defective boards are removed or power washing? In this specific projects case, after power washing, it had become evident that many more siding & trim boards needed to be replaced, we replace a quantity of 13, 8? long siding boards and 2-3 additional trim boards.. When the need for additional board replacement became evident we immediately informed the customer asking him to review the areas with the crew leader; so he was aware and able to witness the additional carpentry needs and process on 3 sides of the home. I explained that the additional charges were simply to cover the cost of the material and labor to complete the carpentry work. I also supplied additional pictures of the areas. He implied that If I (the owner) felt the additional charge of $525.00 was fair he would pay for them. I explained that if I didn?t feel they were fair I would not have charged that amount. In general, carpentry repairs on exterior projects can be tricky, even problematic. With our detailed proposals we strive to address as much as possible those needs during the estimate process. We don?t take shortcuts by hiding or covering up the problem as that would only become a future issue. Mike Jackson Owner Quality Painting Systems

The experience was excellent. The job was well done. Manny and his crew were polite and very caring. I was very nervous about getting 14 rooms painted but Mike assured me everything would be fine and it was. I would use Quality Painting Systems in the future. Thank you Mike, Manny and crew.

Project: Paint or Stain Single Items
From patching holes and repairing cracks in our walls to painting our 2238 sq ft condo from top to bottom Manny, Samuel and Pedro did an amazing job. The completed project is just beautiful. When we added the basement and garage in the middle of the job they made no complaints. Just worked harder and longer days to get it done in a timely fashion. Even when asked to go back and repaint some of the molding a different color, thay had no problem; it was all about making sure I was happy with the finished product. I would absolutely recommend this company to anyone looking to have some painting done. Thank you Mike for putting together such an awesome team!

We had them paint 2 years ago and have since moved to FL. I wish they painted down here, I have never had anyone else paint that was as professional and dedicated to doing the job right as them! We even called 2 years later to get the name of the paint color they used on our MI home and they had it! We painted our living room the same color!

Mike communicated with me thru all stages of the process. We had to wait until some carpentry was done so that delayed their starting to paint, but he was patient and helpful. Appreciate all of his assistance!

Quality Painting Systems painted the entire interior of a house we are selling. Their pricing was competitive with two highly rated Angie's List companies. The quality of their work? Outstanding! The painters were skilled, professional, and even replaced a section of a wall in one of the bedrooms that was water-damaged. I would recommend this company to anyone.
