The contract worker they sent to paint my house had 1 star rating for painting. My CW contact was based out of state.

They seem to be one dementionable when painting. meaning they only look at the surface, not edges or undersides.

Chris, the project manager, was great to work with. His communications were prompt and detailed. The quality of the work was very good, and there was no mess at all. The crew missed painting one side of the house initially (probably due to a language barrier). This was taken care of in two days, with no problems.

Not the cheapest provider, but easy to work with, determined to deliver customer satisfaction, hard-working, prompt and efficient.

Signed a contract on 6/08 for $2792 with 10% down. Project started on 8/01. Finished on 8/03 and paid remainder of contracted total at that time. On 8/07, received an e-mail asking for an additional payment of $265.24 for state tax. A revised "contract" was attached which was different from the contract I originally approved! I called College Works customer service in Irvine CA. Told the story. Shortly after, got a call from the rep in Seattle to say - forget it - our mistake. The estimate was more than I had expected - Had the tax been included I might well have turned it down. I don't think presenting a second contract after the job is finished and paid for is a fair business practice.

Contracted on 6/08, and had a preliminary visit a week later. So far no date set for the actual painting.

Not without hiccups. Initially we got off to a rough start but, my project manager got things back on track and I was pleased with the adjustment. The A team that was sent did everything according my expectation. Communication was key.

The first crew that came out did a terrible job and were unreliable in their commitments to show up. They left a mess in my garden beds when scraping chipped paint leaving it in my garden. The first crew just stopped showing up and they had to bring in a new crew. The second crew did a much better job and got it finished. If you hire these folks, it seems like a crapshoot as to what you may get. But, I was not in a huge hurry, so it wasn't a big problem. At the end, the house looks good but I'm guessing I could have found a better company.
