Corral Construction & Remodelation

We engaged Corral Construction & Remodeling Inc. for a major, multi-room home renovation. While the final negotiated price was acceptable. The initial quote provided by Corral Construction was unrealistically high?approximately double the final agreed-upon amount. This required an aggressive negotiation phase to reduce the estimate to a market-reasonable price. The experience felt pressured, raising immediate concerns about the company?s transparent pricing practices. The agreed-upon payment schedule was 50% upfront and 50% upon project completion. The contractor executed approximately one-third (1/3) of the total work before unilaterally pausing the project and demanding the entire remaining 50% balance. To address the unexpected work stoppage, we offered a revised payment structure: a partial release of 25% of the total cost immediately (to reflect the work completed to date), with the final 25% to be paid up. This contractor refused, kept the job paused. do not use them.

did not follow what was on the contract. re modeler was suppose to buy 3/4 size gravel for the base of the cement driveway but instead use existing gravel found on the old driveway. Very unhappy, should be reimburse for the material that is quoted but did not use/buy for the client..
