The project was to remove redwood decking, replace it with Trek and install two handrails. I had asked about what other contracts said about Trek needing 16 joists and mine were 32. I was told that was not necessary but the foreman said it was needed so the change ordered added 33% to the cost of the project. If I had known, I would have replaced it with redwood. The Trek boards are thinner so there are gaps around the tops and the area is slightly smaller so ugly cement was added to fill those gaps. The handrails are rough redwood and if you touched them your hand would be full of splinters. They were supposed to finish yesterday and have left garbage around. I had hoped that they would have returned the furniture to the deck, but that was not in the contract, but I would have expected them to return things they moved to where they got them. Maybe they will come back for the garbage but I do not have too much hope that the person who comes for the final payment will do that.

Project- Balcony/Patio tear-out and reinstall, including waterproofing, drainage, and repair of a leak. My house is about 80 years old; I discovered that there was a leak from a (nearly) roof-top patio down into the dining room wall below. Ben came over, assessed the situation, and was very upfront about the price being determined by what they found after they pulled up the patio flooring. Unfortunately, it was kind of a mess under there. Ben explained the process and pricing very clearly and set up the different crews for each layer of the tear-out and reinstall. They were great about working with my schedule, Ben always called me back if there was an issue. The job, which was a multi-step project, was finished pretty quickly. Everyone was very polite, cleaned up and carted away any debris after every layer, and they were even very nice to my dog, (who can be a little annoying ) it looks good now and I am confident that the waterproofing is solid. Will definitely rehire them for future projects!

We used Cosmic Renovation & Roofing for our roof replacement (including skylights, gutter, attic venting, etc) for our house in Northern California (San Mateo). Their team was fantastic! Blake was our project manager and he ensured that the project was running on time, provided ideas / recommendations on colors and material, and was extremely helpful for a small side project (replacing our patio covering) that we included in the overall roof replacement. The company overall was extremely professional. Their quote and pricing were competitive and they were flexible on what should or shouldn't be part of the project. Their advice was on-point and demonstrated their knowledge depth (materials, color-combos, what is and isn't "worth it"). Additionally - whenever I had a question or a concern - they were extremely responsive, often showing up within hours of being called / contacted. Therefore, I would highly recommend their services and would use them again for future projects.

I got a cold call from this company. They called my cell phone looking for my father (who never had this number ) when I informed them that he was dead, the man apologizd and PROCEEDED TO GIVE HIS SALES PITCH. The audacity! Seriously, who does that?

Cosmic roofing lacks honesty and integrity. We purchased a home with a new roof that had been installed by Cosmic one month prior to sale. One year later we have to completely replace the roof due to leaking tar dripping down from the roof. When I reached out to Cosmic as we have a warranty, they stated this was not their fault b/c the leaking underlayment was coming from residue from a prior roof. They offered to send someone out to take a look and the man they sent defensively stated this is not my fault and began yelling at me and bullying me. They did not offer to help repair the roof. Instead they offered to remove the old roof at cost. We wrote back (3 times) to accept their offer to remove the roof and they failed to respond. What we have experienced is lack of accountability, extreme disrespect, and lack of follow through and honesty. DO NOT HIRE THESE PEOPLE IF YOU VALUE HONESTY AND INTEGRITY. (More dishonesty in their response). beware

The work is excellent, and the price reasonable. They showed up when they said they would, and the workers were polite and cleaned up well after themselves (outside).As for customer service, they were friendly and helpful. The reason I gave a lower rating for service was that we had such a mess to deal with, and they didn't give us what I would consider enough warning. I understand that they couldn't help the mess, but they should have warned us so we could cover things and not have so much to clean up.

My friend recommended me Cosmic Renovation on my roof replacement and I contacted them to see their offer. Their offer was very acceptable and I decided to hire them. Blake and his crew shoved up on time, worked hard every day from early in the morning to the dark and my roof was finished on time. The price was fair and within my budget. I am completely satisfied with the outcome and will highly recommend Cosmic Renovation and Roofing.
