Jeff and his helper did great work overlaying an existing 480 sq ft patio with concrete pavers. I had all the materials on-hand as originally we had planned to do the installation ourselves but realized that was a bit much to tackle at our age and working full-time! They completed in less than two days and my husband and I are very happy with the outcome. We'll be building some planter-kits ourselves and landscaping of course. Jeff worked with me to bring in additional soil I hadn't anticipated for the edging and ground cover to work. It was significantly cheaper than big-box stores even with the hour or so of extra labor. The patio looks great and I hope it will hold-up. I would highly recommend Jeff without reservation. I have several nice photos but I didn't see a way to upload those.

Project: Install Sod
Jeff and the Walker's Green crew were excellent in every step of my sod install. We spent a lot of time reviewing the different sod options and discussed the install process. They did a thorough sprinkler system inspection and fixed a few issues first, knowing the importance of proper watering to new sod. The first batch of sod delivered wasn't to Jeff's standards, so he had it sent back. The next batch was great and very professionally installed. I was extremely impressed with the job and commitment to customer service throughout the entire process. Highly recommend Walker's Green!

Review by Sandy M. in Cumming, GA
Project: Install Sod
After using this contractor a second time I'm changing my review. Spent over $5,500 and gave him a referral where he got about $1,500. In the 2nd job Jeff did not fulfill the items on the estimate. Returned part of my money because he didn't want to do a small sod job. Very sensitive, when I told him I didn't like that he went to the job from my referral without finishing mine. He indicated in an email he would not come back next year. Also, if you use him for sod, be aware he does not take sod back even when he measures wrong!!!!!! Does good work, but have never come across such a thin-skinned contractor.
Response by Walker's Green, Inc.: On all projects we provide a written proposal. The first project was for sod installation in the rear yard in March of 2016. We measured the lawn at 2,880 sf and provided a written proposal and pricing for that area. Sod comes by the pallet, with 504 sf on each pallet. Since 2,880 sf were needed for this job, a total of 6 pallets were ordered, for a total of 3024 of sod. It was clearly indicated in the proposal that 6 pallets would be ordered but the price given to Tom and Sandy was for the installation of 2,880 sf. Once the job was complete I offered to install the extra sod somewhere else on the property or haul it off. They asked me if they could give it to a neighbor. I said yes and we stacked it in the front yard for the neighbor to pick up. The second project was to install mulch in the front beds, pine straw in the rear beds, and installing about 10 pieces of Tifgrand bermuda sod to patch a spot in the front yard. Again, we provided a written proposal and we also stated in writing that we would work part of the project in with other projects because I knew getting 10 pieces of TifGrand bermuda in April would be difficult. We scheduled the work for April 10th and showed up on time. We did the work as scheduled; however, I was unable to get the 10 pieces of TifGrand bermuda sod from the sod supplier. I called several other suppliers but they did not have any either. The TifGrand bermuda can be little hard to get when it is only 10 pieces and when it is in high demand in April. The supplier I normally use said they would not have any pieces of the TifGrand Bermuda until the following week. I told this to Sandy at the end of the day. I also explained that sod was a living, breathing plant and the day I got it was the day it had to be installed. As always, I asked for payment for the work we had done at the end of the day excluding the sod installation and Sandy insisted on paying me for all of it including the sod installation. The next day we were scheduled for the neighbor?s project that she had referred. She called the following day about the sod installation and again I told her it would be next week. She said she could not believe I took her money and did not come back. This was not AT ALL the case. I was not going to order a whole pallet of sod for 10 pieces so I had to wait until the supply yard had the pieces. Sandy then sent a demanding E-mail on April 19th about installation of the sod and that her work should have been done before her neighbors work. We strive to always provide the work as promised but we did indicate, in writing, that there could be a delay with the sod. I responded to her email and stated that she did not seem happy with having to wait until I could get the specific type of sod needed for the area and I thought it best to issue her a refund for the sod and installation which I sent her the same day. Finally, I did not indicate in an E-mail that we would not be back next year. I am not sure what this has to do with anything but we have all E-mail communication between Walkers Green and Tom and Sandy. I?ve had no further communications with them since April 19th until they revised there review 7 months after completion of the work.
