We hired Creative in 2015 to do a patio in our new home. We had previously hired them back in 2011 and were pleased with the work. This time around was a whole different experience. Let me first say that the workers were great. They were good, honest and professional. Everything from scheduling the project, to actually starting the project, to basic customer service was sub par. The patio with fire pit was not completed for my kids birthday party in Late July as requested and agreed upon by Bryan the owner. We initially agreed on a price and signed a contract but almost from the start of work he tried to increase the price and asking for more money. The patio is a year old and there are about 4 places where the stones are sinking below level. I texted and called Bryan more times that I have fingers toes......and that's a lot. He never once answered my calls or texts requesting warranty work on the patio that was supposed to be covered. I had to call his cell from another phone and he finally answered my call. I told him about the patio and that I needed him to send out an employee to fix the pavers that were sinking but he said he wasn't able to because he is no longer in business. I didn't have any reason to not believe him as his website was not completely finished and some parts were still in progress. Today I decided to check on the Creative Surroundings website after seeing his emails in Outlook and I found it has been completed and they even used my old review from back in 2011 and paired it with a picture that wasn't even my house or patio. The description of the work was even wrong. Do I think this was done accidentally? No. Dishonest and misleading. Will not hire them again.

Several years ago I contracted with Creative Landscapes to install flagstone on my front steps and walk. Initially, it looked great; but soon the mortar between the flagstones began to break and several stones became loose to the point that it was dangerous. Over the past eleven months I have had numerous phone calls and emails with the Bryan, the owner, but have received nothing but excuses and promises. Nothing has been done to repair the damage, even though the contract contained a 7-year warranty. I have had to hire another company to do the work that Bryan refused to do. I would definitely not recommend this company!

Seeking legal help to remedy the cracking retaining wall and driveway that is collecting puddles

This was a major rebuild of front walkways, landings, stairs, and backyard outdoor kitchen. The final product far exceeded our expectation. The owner, Bryan, made very good suggestions on materials. The crew was professional and they were very expert stonemasons. They matched existing stonework to perfection. As with any major project questions and issues arose, but the company resolved them expertly and creatively. After a huge project I have a small punch list of cleanup items, minor, and a complete assurance it will be done with equal professionalism. I highly recommend the company for any outdoor project, big or small. Be open to suggestions, they have creative and unique ideas.

The men in my crew did excellent work and my 22x20 patio looks very nice. They were very professional and cleaned up the site after completion. There was only one glitch on the first day when I discovered the crew did not know they were supposed to bury a 4" drainage pipe from my downspout to just beyond the end of my patio. But we caught it in time so all ended well.

Make clear the scope of work. Avoid misunderstandings with the actual work.

The workmanship on the concrete porch, sidewalk and driveway was amazing. All of the crew were courtious and focused on their tasks at hand. Brian, the owner, was extreemly knowledgeable and creative. He came up with some design suggestions I hadn't thought of--we took his suggestions. We couldn't be more pleased. Lastly, I did my homework searching out a cement contractor who would meet our requirements. I had touched base with 5 potential contractors before we found Brian and his company who was the first company we were pleased with and their pricing was fair and reasonable.
