Do not walk! RUN FROM THIS CONTRACTOR! Reading all the reviews of other clients projects was like hearing a broken record of our own. This company has a standard operating practice. Here it is: 1. Court the Client - Promise how well the project will be documented, managed and invoiced. Include a sales pitch about the great builder mgt. software that will be used. Walk the site confidently and pretend like you know what you are doing. 2. Get Clients money. 3. Never show up on-site again unless threatened with an ROC complaint. Hire unlicensed subcontractors off of Craigs list so you do not have to pay them the remaining 50% they are owed. Since they are unlicensed they have no recourse. 4. Do not provide any materials for the job site or the subs. The clients will get frustrated with the lack of progress and pay for things themselves just to keep the project moving. 5. Never ever clean up the job site. Clients will do it themselves when the neighbors get sick of looking at trash piled in their yards. 6. Never ever answer the phone or emails from clients. 7. Just assume the project will manage itself. No need to ever visit the site, face the client or supervise any work being done. And finally... 8. When the client is angry enough to terminate the project, intimidate and threaten them with lawsuits via text and email. AND KEEP ALL THE CLIENTS MONEY, makeup invoicing after the fact whenever possible and necessary! Enough Said?!?!

Danny Meador abandoned our project with the back of our house ripped off and open to the summer heat. He just disappeared and despite many attempts to reach him, nothing. In June he fired his entire staff, except wife and son, and that is when our project stopped. He has $15,000 of our money for work he never started or completed. We filed a complaint with the Arizona Registrar of Contractors. It is being investigated now. He has three open cases with the Arizona Registrar of Contractors since March 2019. He also did not pay subcontractors, so they came to our house many times demanding to get paid and one even filed a lien on our house. Do NOT hire Danny Meador!!! Total nightmare.

This company has ripped me off for over $19,000.00. Danny will not return my calls. He makes appointments and never shows up. He returned my text message only twice since he has been paid to make an appointment to review the architects plans, which he just did not show up for. When I texted him he says OH...the plans are not ready yet. The excuses go on and on and on. WHEN I AM ABLE TO GET IT TOUCH WITH HIM VIA TEXT. HE NEVER ANSWERS HIS PHONE OR RETURNS MESSAGES. I WANT TO FILE A FORMAL COMPLAINT PLEASE.

Buyer beware!!!!!! This is the most dishonest down dirty company I have ever encountered. Beware of massive *additional cost - fees etc.* Do your homework and find a reputable company that is a pro customer and does the job right and actually pays their subs.
Response by Danny Meador Construction, LLC: It is very unfortunate that your project had to be cancelled before we can began construction. However if and when we cannot get clients to pay for the upfront costs such as permits plans and all the engineering necessary required by the City it is definitely in our best interest to not move forward on the project.

Customer Service ! Getting it right is his main concern. His subs are quality craftsmen, I felt comfortable letting them in my house. I highly recommend Danny Meador!

We are pleased with the finished results of both remodeled bathrooms. The workmen were all professional and did nice work. If you're in no hurry to complete your project, and you do not mind poor communication, then Danny Meador Construction will do well for you. VP Tarry came Aug 24th for an estimate on 2 bathrooms remodels. I gave him a list of what we were looking for and showed him a picture of the style of cabinets I wanted. He said the job would be near the minimum cost of jobs they do, but his original verbal estimate was in line with what I expected. My only requirement was that it be completed by Thanksgiving since out of state family was coming. I advised him I would be out of town 9/14-9/25 but my husband was home. He said it should not be a problem. It was. Four months later sinks were being installed the Tuesday before Thanksgiving while family arrived. Wednesday was spent cleaning and putting things back in bathrooms to free up the spare bedroom. Final issues were resolved December 14th. The suppliers used were not much help in advising what products were within the parameters of the quote, so nearly everything we chose was over budget. My biggest complaint is an over-toilet cabinet (that was on my original printed list of what we wanted to be done) was apparently forgotten. When I was asked to approve the cabinets the over-toilet cabinet was not included. Tarry sketched a rectangle with height and width measurements (no doors nor depth were shown) and said it would match the cabinets, so I approved it. When the cabinets arrived, it turns out the over-toilet cabinet was one door and 12' deep. I expected 2 doors and only 8' deep that you see if you search for it online. In the end, I was given 2 non-matching cabinet choices and 4 options to resolve the issue; we are not happy with the substitute. Many times during the process we had to call or write asking for updates. Days passed during construction sometimes with nothing being done nor explanation as to why. Appointments with Danny were at his convenience, not when the appointment was scheduled. Bottom line, it was a very frustrating 15+ weeks.

Project: Build a Garage
We CANNOT recommend Danny Meador Construction. 1st, DMC uses bait and switch practices. They bid the project @ one price And subsequently have expensive non-disclosed change orders placed on the project. Adding thousands of dollars in increased costs. 2nd, DMC was extremely poor at communicating. They never returned phone calls, Messages, or emails! They would only initiate communication when they wanted Money. 3rd, DMC was incompetent in planning for or anticipating the scope of the job. Resulting in additional costs and delays. 4th, DMC was unable to maintain a schedule and finish the project in a timely Manner. Subcontractors frequently were no-shows w/no communication from DMC as to why. Additionally, We had to perform most of the job site clean up ourselves. DMC was unable to maintain consistent Project managers. We had 6 PMs in 9 months! 5th, DMC stated that after groundbreaking on our project it would take 6-8 weeks To complete, it took an additional 4 months! Thanks to Frank Ybarra our last PM. His Expertise pulled our project together. We have recently been receiving calls from subcontractors that have not received payment from DMC for construction of our Garage, even though it was completed and final payment made 2 months ago. Finally, we realize we were not DMC's only customer but would have appreciated being treated as a valued client. While we are pleased with the finished garage, we were not pleased with the amount of frustration we had to endure with DMC.
Response by Danny Meador Construction, LLC: Hello Craig. We appreciate your feedback, it's unfortunate to hear you had a bad experience. Sorry, we were unable to hit your mark, but it's great to hear you're pleased with your finished garage. We understand your frustration and the additional costs that pushed your project over your budget threshold, the additional costs were associated with unforeseen APS and County Requirements and were out of our control. Since your project wrapped months ago we have listened to our clients good and bad feedback and have made necessary changes to continue to provide a great experience for all of our clients today and into the future. Please don't hesitate to give us a call if you have any further questions or concerns. Have a great day. Thank you.
