60 day project took over 120 days. Contracted work NOT completed (new bathroom baseboard electric heater NOT installed). Chimney height NOT increased to reflect addition to second floor. Thousands of dollars of damage to due to thunderstorm rain damage.
Response by Delaware Valley Builders, Inc.: The job did take longer than I predicted due to bad weather and rain. Regarding customers complaint about the baseboard electrical heating. In the contract we were going to install a ductless heat/AC pump system that consisted of a wall unit in bedroom and sitting area. The bathroom didn't have enough room to put a wall unit. So we were going to put electrical baseboard heater in. The heating contractor persuaded us into putting in a small Heat/AC pump unit. Which consist of a air handle that we could run duct-work off of. We supplied duct work to sitting area, bedroom, walk-closet and bathroom. So we didn't need to install electric baseboard heating. Due to storm damage the tarp was ripped and water did damage to the drywall on back wall. The drywall was fixed. My insurance company took care of that. The total damages was $1,835.00. The homeowner wanted the insurance company to compensate him for not having access to the room. He couldn't use to room anyway while under construction.

Having built two homes, I can be very picky when it comes to quality, I did not have a single quality issue during the entire project. He answers his phone, or gets back to you promptly. My biggest issue was keeping the construction site clean, but it did eventually get all cleaned.

A job that should have taken 1 month took over 3. He would not sho up for weeks at a time and did not communicate why he was not here. He took on too many jobs and did not have the staff to handle to do all the jobs in a timely basis.
Response by Delaware Valley Builders, Inc.: I signed a contract to do a list of work for this customer. There was nothing written or communicated that the job would be completed in 30 days. Especially in the winter when your dealing with bad weather. The customer made several changes to this job. It took him two weeks to decide on a heating contractor to install a heat pump. Also, if the customer hadn't done previous work to his home without a building permit the job could have went more smoothly. The homeowner could not make up his mind how he wanted things done. This was a very difficult customer to deal with.

Walter was very focused on the project and was able to start in a timely manner. His team worked around our schedule. He was easy to reach and was good at returning messages, especially if I had any questions that I may have forgotten to ask while he was at our home. He's not only good at his job, but his years of experience was apparent in the way the work was completed.

We interviewed 3 builders for our home renovation project (kitchen remodel, sunroom addition, upstairs laundry). Walter Graham's quote was by far the most reasonable, and we have been nothing but pleased with the quality and timeliness of the work (still in progress, but on schedule for completion by 12/09). Walter and his crew have made every effort to make it possible for us live as "normally" in our home as possible, while construction is going on. Walter is not only the business owner, but also serves as the foreman in all of his projects. We will definitely be using Walter's services for all of our future home improvement projects.

Project: Add a Sunroom or Patio Enclosure
They have done many projects for us. They have built it better than others I have seen. He does not skimp on the work, is phenomenal in their work.. I was very pleased with the structure and details, looked at the plan and made it better that if looked. He was very good about follow up. He takes price in the job, just a craftsman in his work.
