I hired Joel for a basement finish after we a signed a contract which included all materials and labor, gave them a down payment of $12500, they started the framing, I noticed that the framing was not being done correctly, worked when they wanted too, because they were busy with other things, recently they showed up to install recessed cans, they did not place the cans properly after 14 mans hours and got 14 cans up, Joel calls me on 4/28/20, said that he was going to pick up tools for another job, he shows up tells they are done here because no one wants to work here anymore, I asked for a partial credit and Joel said sue me and left, the only thing that is almost complete is the framing, now I need to hire somebody to complete the work.

Response from Company:

We have never walked off a project before till this one. This customer was verbally abusive to my employees every moment there. From cursing out and screaming at them from the first day. Seemed to be highly prejudice ( would not allow my black employee on the site. We tried to overlook his attitude due to his age. He constantly bragged how he screwed over previous contractors. We completed the project up to the Drywall and Carpet. We completed and delivered way more than the deposit. And yes ALL of my employees REFUSED to return to the project (Due to the constant verbal abuse) We never said "SUE ME" This customer demanded a $10K refund. I explained as previously stated. He threatened to sue us. I said we will let the Judge decide. All I can really say is " LOOK AT ALL OF OUR OTHER REVIEWS"
